Looking to buy a 2017 Honda Civic from dealer

I've been looking at a 2017 Honda Civic that is for sale.  It has 32,000 miles and some cosmetic damage.  it's a 2.0 L 4cyc engine with DOHC

No turbo.  It's at a car dealer, and they are asking 19,000.  They were honest and said the car had been in a side swipe and had some damage, they fixed it.  The owner at the time did not turn it in to car fax.   Any advice on buying this car.  Also it originated in Alaska, now in Arkansas.

Be careful buying from a dealer. Most would rip off their own grandmothers. The mileage is suspiciously low and needs to be verified. The quality of the body work they did may be suspect and it's possible the impact from the accident caused damage that is not immediately obvious.

You can get an idea of failure trends for that model at the link below. Be sure to drill down each category to see details:

You also need to have a good mechanic give the thing a thorough examination before purchase.

Looks like I should be looking for a Honda Accord.  Any information which is the safest year and less complaints on one.

@janet-bloodworth The previously-referenced site carcomplaints.com is a good place to start. It includes not only problems reported by owners, but also TSB and recall information. However it cannot be over-emphasized that to determine the actual condition of any used car you need a mechanic to check it out before purchase.
