Looking to purchase 2006 Honda CRV LX

I'm looking to buy a 2006 Honda CRV from a local used car dealer with 112K miles. No accidents or body damage. Engine is very smooth running. The previous owner had used it as a towed vehicle behind his motorhome. The only issue am concerned about is rear wheel bearings and a vibration when put in Drive and slightly less when put in Reverse.  Should I be concerned with it being towed for 20-40K miles and what may be causing the vibration. The previous owner maintained it well.

Biggest red flag.

Pass on it; not worth the trouble. These days used car lots are literally a dump for peoples used problematic cars.

Most used car dealers are bottom feeders, particularly BHPH dealers. If you're relying on Carfax or similar service to determine "no accidents" that is not a reliable source. The dealer most likely bought it at auction with an unknown history or it might be a repo. Way too many red flags and while you did not mention price it's a good bet it's way overpriced as well.

This vehicle was purchased by this local dealer from a local gentleman that sold his motorhome and no longer needed the car. He is asking $8990 for it, but I feel is over $1.5K too high. Another concern is, I would be the 5th owner. Owners 1-3, who knows how they treated it.

"The previous owner maintained it well?"  Who told you that, the dealer, the previous owner.  If they maintained it well, it wouldn't have the problems you stated.  Run away from this one.
