Hello, i have a 2012 impala just recently got brakes put on a few months ago maybe the middle of the summer. Today and yesterday i was driving and it seems like when i push my brakes to stop it doesn’t have that instant tight gripping to slow my car down as before. I have to press the breaks more harder for it to slow down, and or stop. It seems loose for better words. But my car does still stop. I was guessing maybe it could be the brake fluid. But i want a better observation, what do you think???
if you have no leaks in the system and are not losing fluid pressure odds are your brake master cylinder is starting to wear out as they age they will grab lower and require more pressure to stop
