** 2000 Toyota 4 Runner ** 278,000 miles
** Limited - V6 - 3.4L 3378cc GAS MFI ** Vin N type 5VZ-FE - 4 valve DOHC
** Don't burn oil ** Transmission fluid levels good
** Vehicle History: Gave to me by a family member and they were aware of this problem, they had it about 5 years.. They never had it checked they put it off as, due to the 4 Runners age. Which I thought was ridiculous cause they always serviced it on time, kept the maintenance up and kept it in their garage.
** Problem / Issue with Vehicle: No power or sluggish when accelerating.
Example: Let's say if you're running up a hill but your mouth and nose got covered, you might make it but you are giving out of breath to make it.
When it levels out it does fine, it's just getting there that's the problem.
** Solutions I've tried: I run a 16 fl oz bottle of Dura Lube Severe Catalytic and Exhaust Treatment, didn't really notice a difference. Someone suggested running a can of SeaFoam through using the vacuum line. Did not do that I thought that was for two-stroke engines. I heard you were the best one to get advice from so here I am...
Thanks in advance for any advice you might have,
Eddie
Pressure test the fuel line. Also, check the catalytic converter and mae sure it is not clogged up.
New fuel filter, clean the injectors and test fuel pressure.
