MAF Sensor Permanent Code

My daughters 2017 Chevy Cruze threw a MAF Sensor code. I replaced the air filter and MAF sensor. Cleared the code and the next day the check engine light came on again. I scanned it and it had a "Permanent" MAF code this time and will not clear.

 

Any suggestions on being able to clear this code?

You cannot clear a permanent code. You have to fix the underlying condition and wait for the computer to recognize that the repair has been done. Did you install an OEM sensor?

make sure the connector is snapped in all the way

Thanks Chuck. I believe it was an AC Delco from a local parts store.
