MAF sensor troubles

Topic starter

I had bought the two cans of CRC cleaner for the MAF sensor and the throttle, but the screws holding the maf sensor in as well as the screw on the clamp of the hose going from the airbox to the intake is super rusty. I am unable to fit my phillips head screwdriver in there to loosen it.

I dont want to put any chemicals on it because of the surrounding plastic and rubber, what could I do?

usually those hose clamps have a hex head (8mm or so). Put some lube on it. A ratchet is much better at removing those than a flat tip screwdriver. In the worst case, just cut it off and replace it.
