Scotty, what are your thoughts on the magic collar for cars? It's pretty common in Southeast Asia.

auto assembly often includes areas which provide a bit of "give". This needs to be there for several reasons. Cars chassis/body/frame components flex and move as they drive. If everything was rigid, then those stresses and vibration transfer to places where you DON'T want it. This can cause premature wear, fatique and failure of joints and metal parts, windows to shatter or seals to fails etc. It's for the same reason that body components are only spot welded together, rather than entire lengths, and often with gaps between the surfaces which are then filled with a flexible sealant. I suspect this company is selling solutions in need of a problem.
