Maintenance

Scotty, those of us at a certain older age ( 70+ ) don't drive as many miles as the younger folk. Changing oil every 5,000 miles might take months.  Are there certain maintenance items one must do irregardless of the mileage and how long it took to accumulate that mileage? I have a 2016 Honda CRV with 75,000 miles.

Oil has to be changed at least once a year, even if you don't drive all the much. I'm not sure about the rest. Usually the owner's manual will say something like "change oil every x miles or 12 months, whichever comes first". It might change a bit from car to car but you get the idea. "Oil is cheap but an engine is expensive"

I would change the coolant every 5 years or so
