Major Work 2017 Grand Caravan

I have 2017 Grand Caravan with close to 140k miles. Codes are indicated it needs a thermostat. Meineke insists I have to get a flush along with the thermostat. Is that correct? I also have a check engine light associated with emissions. In addition to the 4 O2 sensors and catalytic converters what exactly would I probably need for the light to go off and pass inspection? I’m an Army veteran on limited funds. Thanks

No, replacing a thermostat does not require a flush.

Now, if the Caravan's coolant has never been changed, which means it's almost 7 years old.. Then yes, change the fluid when you change the thermostat.

We need some codes to give accurate advice to you, can you have it scanned?

only if you're due. This is why you don't take your car to chain shops.
