Manual hard to shift into first gear

2012 Jeep Wrangler 6-speed manual, 120, cxx miles.

Sometimes I have to first shift into second or third gear and then try again for first to get it in.

Is that a problem with the synchronizers?

Check that your clutch is releasing fully.
