The newer you go, the harder it is to find a manual transmission Honda or Toyota, or even a Mazda or Subaru.
It’s funny, 20+ Years ago, manual transmissions came in the cheaper cars. Automatics were usually more expensive than their manual transmission counterparts. And they were available across most if they lineup.
These days, manual transmission is hard to come by, and usually reserved for sports cars or performance vehicles.
The Miata, the Civic Type R, the BRZ, the 86, are the ones that have manual transmissions, that I would recommend.
Basically any Toyota or Honda are the best cars but the Mazda Miata is really nice too a little sports car
If you can an older ford mustang with the 5-speed that has not been driven around like crazy, then it would be a good car with a manual to drive.
Good for you. I have never owned a vehicle with an automatic trans and never will.
Test drive a few manual vehicles from Toyota, Honda, Mazda & Subaru. Then go buy the one which you like best.
