Manual transmission fluid change

Scotty:

I've watched many of your videos on changing transmission fluid on automatic transmissions.  You are careful to emphasize not to flush the system just change the filter and the fluid you can access.

I have a 2017 Porsche 718S with a six speed manual transmission.  Do I need to change the transmission fluid on this car?  Do I want to find and replace the transmission filter (if there is one)?  Is flushing the transmission on a manual transmission car NOT recommended?

Thank you!

Yes, changing gear oil in a manual gearbox is part of regular maintenance. Check your owner's manual for interval (100k at most). Procedure is a drain and fill. There is nothing to flush and no filter.

Forget everything you heard about automatics. It does not apply.
