Topic starter

Scotty,
My personal car a 2011 Nissan Sentra with 220,000 miles on it  gave me a mass air flow sensor code.

Symptoms: not accelerating or shifting..3,000 rpm at like 30-40 mph

replaced the sensor, air filter and cleaned the throttle body.

symptoms still persist

Have read there are re-learn procedures to complete.

Have tried all these and nothing has worked.

What am I missing?

thanks

The Care Car Nut shows a good way to test mass airflow sensors. I like tests that involve putting the pedal to the floor while driving. 🙂

There's really no such thing as a "mass air flow sensor code". OBD2 codes don't tell you what part to replace. There are usually multiple possible causes that you have to troubleshoot to determine the actual problem.

What is the code? Did you test the MAF sensor before replacing it? Did you install an OEM part or was it aftermarket?

gave me a mass air flow sensor code.

post the code per our instructions please and live data from the MAF sensor if you have it.

Does it run better if you unplug it?

Are you still getting the code after replacement, or just the symptoms?
