Hi folks!

Im iterested in a 2010 Toyota Matrix with 107k miles on it. Took it to an inspection today and got four codes in the scan, mechanic said it would be less than 500 to get issues fixed. He also said car has signals of being exposed to salt even tho there's no rust. Vehicle passed smog recently. Any thoughts if is a good idea or not? Buying from dealer... 6k.

Codes

P0138

C1241

C1422

U0100

What engine? What trim? 2.4 or 1.8?

Its base model...1.8

For $6k, I would buy a vehicle that didn't have any codes.

In fact, I can't believe that dealer is selling cars with brake problems!

Mechanic said brakes were probably cheap and could be squeaky or something but did not emphasized that much. 🤔🤔🤔 It seemed fine when I road tested it

That's not how you sell cars. Run away from this sleazeball dealer. It's got "shady" written all over it.

Like Joe said, for 6k you could get one in good mechanical shape.
