Hello Scotty, i am a new user and this is my first question to you.

My [[[[[ Mazda 3, 2004-- Automatic Transmission(2.0L engine--- 85,000km mileage]]]] was in the garage for 15 months and neither did i start the car nor drive in those 15 months. My Bad!   After 15 months, the car didn't start. Jump started the battery, it didn't work and had to buy a new battery after getting the old battery checked which was dead.

With new battery , the car did start and when i drove, the engine stopped while i am driving and i had to re-start the car. It happened multiple times during my first time driving after 15 months and when i parked in the garage again, Engine light turned on with the code P0506(Idle Air Control System RP lower than expected).

I don't know if it is a gasoline problem(Its 15 months old gasoline in the car..which is about to finish anyways), so

1)Shall i fill the gas tank with "SUPREME OR MIDGRADE" instead of "Regular" Gas if Gasoline is the problem?

2/Or Shall i put Regular Gas along with a "Fuel System Cleaner" like "Gumout Regane Complete fuel System Cleaner - 177 ml" to fix the problem?

3) The last oil change was in Oct 2020(Conventional Oil) which i will change soon.

Please let me know what should i do, in order to drive safely with my KIDS on highways.

Thankyou,

P.S: I usually erase the OBD codes , like "Evaporting System leak - Big leak detected" i have been erasing for sometime.

the old battery checked which was dead.

it may have killed your alternator. Check your voltage.

it certainly doesn't help. drain it out.

Thankyou MountainManJoe.

I have never drained the old gas, so i don't know how to do it.

///Is it ok to re-fill with the "Regular Gas" with the remaining gas instead of draining it out?

////And will it do any harm if instead of filling it with Regular Gas, i fill it with Supreme Gas(91-Octane)?

///Some people advised to mix Fuel System cleaner with Regular Gas..I don't know if fuel System cleaner works?
