Hi. Big fan.
I'm installing trailer hitch wiring on my 2008 Mazda 5 GT 2.3L. I disconnected the battery. Now it won't start. Not a peep from the starter but everything else has power. All lights and radio work, fuel pump charges after key turns. All fuses are good. Tried boosting with a pickup no difference. Tried with spare key too but same thing.
Ground is good, both on hitch wiring and from battery but the hitch wiring isn't connected to the battery yet anyway. It's a plug and play wiring system and the rear lights work as well as all the other lights.
It seems it's only the starter that doesn't get power. No clicking. No spinning. Nothing at the starter.
Did you short anything out? Check all connections and grounds.
Would be a coincidence if starter chose to gave out now.
