According to consumer advocate and talk show host Clark Howard, Consumer Reports now considers Mazda to be a more reliable brand than either Toyota or Lexus.  Do you think Consumer Reports is wrong on this, Scotty?

Hahah hilarious. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Maybe on another planet, Mazda may be more reliable. On planet earth however, Lexus/Toyota is the epitome & industry benchmark of reliability.

Consumer Reports and "reliable" should not go in the same sentence.

Ask around for real world experience and do not go off of what some magazine who gets kick backs from manufacturers says. I'll take a Lexus, Toyota, and even my Honda over a Mazda anyday.

Have you seen this video? https://youtu.be/zT5UYP06crs

I mean you shouln't trust everything you see but consumer reports seems to say correct stuff. They are independent and don't get paid by manufacturers (they buy the cars themselves and they CLAIM that). Also, in 2009, they said the Kia SPotage was the most reliable car. I have one and it is. The engine and transmission are solid can do 200k easily unlike the modern ones which have tons of engine problems, and their surveys show this. Mazda is very reliable and Mazda overtook Honda a few years back, which could be true because of constant transmission problems with Honda. Just realize in the last 5 years Mazda and Toyota have lot's of deals going and they are sticking to good methods in their Engine/transmissions and are very reliable. I still don't think it is necessarily better than a new Lexus but Mazda's are such a better car overall in their tests so they reccomend them and they perfected it they are using the same technology for 7 8 years.

Sorry but I'm not buying it. Real world experience says otherwise but I mean if you trust a magazine then ok.

i don’t necessarily know of better than Toyota or Lexus...  But it seems like their quality is up these days as opposed to the Ford years.

Only positive answer when you compare MX-5 and Supra (well, not Toyota so that one does not count).

Look up Scotty's video's on Mazda's made in the last year or so and everything he says is positive.
