Hi Scotty, I wrote a few weeks ago regarding our 2018 Mazda CX-9 engine breaking down and needing to be replaced. In the spirit of full disclosure, despite the car being well out of warranty (78K miles and 5.5 years old), Mazda Corp. and the dealership agreed to replace the engine. They paid most of the $10,500 repair bill, our portion was about $700. I'm told that the new parts are improved, and we should expect the new engine to last. Overall, we like the car so we've decided to keep it. Hopefully, we're not making a mistake. Thanks for your help and information.
