Mdx 05 steering pump
How do you know if the pump is rebuild able or not with out taking it apart. It makes noise some time when it's cold it's Armstrong steering for a bit then it works fine. I know the pump is the issue. But I'm wondering can I get away rebuilding it or doi need to get athe while unit. I trying to do the cheapest thing and don't wanna have to take it apart to find out. Cause I order from rockauto so 2 weeks of no vehicle is not an option.

You have to take it apart to see if the casting is in good enough shape internally (not scored or worn) to rebuild.
