Hi Scotty,

I have an 05 Acura MDX with 274,000 miles. My wife absolutely love the it. I've done regular maintenance on it since we purchased it used several years ago from an Acura dealer with 130K.

Recently, since the summer, the car will drive normally and all of a sudden the brakes will lock up and force the vehicle to lose control, at the same time the VSA light will appear. When this happens we pull over, shut the vehicle off and turn it back on. Everything seems to reset and it drives normally until the next time.

I've replaced all the ABS sensors with Denso replacements, but it hasn't changed anything. I wasn't sure if it could be the Yaw sensor or suspension parts or something else.

No check engine lights appear except for the VSA light and it goes away when you restart the vehicle. Wasn't sure if there was a way to check or fix it short of going to a mechanic. I feel this could be a very expensive endeavor. Thanks for your videos, I love to listen to your honest options. It's very refreshing.

Have you already scanned the vehicle for codes?

I have with a scanner and nothing.

Well you're really going to need a good mechanic like that when I get something like that I hook up my $5,000 scan tool in road test it and when the light comes on it acts up I push the stop recording button. Then I play back the last 30 seconds of the data recording and find out what's going on those are very complex systems and there's no way you can work on them without such equipment unfortunately

Thanks for replying Scotty, much appreciated. Keep up doing what you do!
