Hi Scotty, I have a 2005 Lx honda civic with 125k miles, my mechanic says have to put 20w50 because of the millage, the manual says 5w20, should I listen to my mechanic? I live in central america and temperature never goes below 59 or beyond 90 fahrenheit

Stick to the oil the manufacturer recommends.

ALWAYS stick to the manufacturer's recommended oil. You don't want to start making changes there.
