Hey Scotty, Im considering buying a Merc S Class from 2008. (3rd latest generation) Are these Cars reliable and do they last long? I will pay around 18 grand for them and they come with a N/A V6 and a 5m V8. Whats you opinion?

I think you should not buy it that is way too much for a 2008 S Class because they start falling apart especially those v8 engines just get something like a reliable Toyota or Lexus they will not last long at all hope that helps.
What if the car has only 10k miles on it?
Run away as fast as you can from a 12yr old S Class. They are not reliable.
Even assuming the engine and transmission are good, there are so many electrical components that fail in those cars. Also, price out how much it costs to maintain one. That alone may change your mind.
If not, hopefully everyone here will because they are not good cars to buy that old.
