Hey there, I have a 1999 Mercedes slk230 with the automatic hardtop convertible roof. I have the same problem all the time being that the roof won't go down into the trunk, it's not the cover that you need to pull out first, I'm not sure what it is. I have to keep bringing it into a shop to get fixed but I'm getting tired of spending so much money. Does anyone know what the problem is? And what I have to do to repair it myself?
Well those aren't fixed at yourself cars. Those stupid metal convertible roofs are so complex. It'll make your head spin. Although I have seen guys disconnect everything and just making a mechanical roof that they can pull with hand. Other than that you're looking at a fortune repairing those things and believe me they'll keep breaking over and over again
