Michelin Defender Tires

After 7 years, and 36,000 miles, they are hitting the wear bars.

They claim to be 80,000 mile tires.

Of course, I drive mostly city (and hit endless potholes).  That does do a number on tires.

Wear is perfectly even, and the tires never developed rim leaks. They are quiet, and traction was good.

Anyone have recommendations for a low end priced All-Season, with good winter traction?

I believe tires come with a xx,xxx mileage and y year warranty.  So even though you may be under the mileage, you may be over the years?

Yes. The warranty is 6 years. Just missed it.

Thanks! I think the Altimax was one I considered last time. Might give them a try.

When I bought my first car, it was fitted with Michelin tyres. They stiil had enough tread but had cracked side walls. In that time tires had only one digit to determine year of production. A mechanic assumed they were 15 years old and not 5.
