My father has a Mini Cooper Countryman S 2016 and he stated after having to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident the brake light now stays on ”red”??? Can anyone tell me why this would happen or anything I can do to check it out? Thank you in advance

Well sometimes you slam on the brakes and brake some of the sensors in the brake system and then they stay red but do check to see if it's low on brake fluid that will do it and also if you are low on brake pressure that will also do it you might have the brake system tested by pro just to make sure nothing is damaged

could be several things. It needs an inspection.
