2006 Endeavor with 165k miles, has had the shudder between 3rd and 4th gear for years (car driven by my parents and sister, now it has come to me as a work truck). Great ride, btw, but it's got the shudder. My question is, not knowing if the transmission has ever been flushed before should I flush the transmission (at a Mitsubishi dealer because these transmissions require only Mitsubishi fluid) or not? I've heard that sometimes it's a bad idea to flush a transmission. What do you think?
