Are they reliable? Is there anything to lookout for with these cars

Scotty don't recommand the automatic tranny. Get the stick shift. I have a 2014 it is at 100 000km. and no major problem with it.
I had a 2011 RVR (Outlander sport in the US) and the CVT tranny was crap. No major issues on the car.

What year? I have a friend who used to own a 2009 Lancer GTS, and at around 100k miles the CVT started to make weird noises. I told him to sell it as soon as possible before it got worse, and he did. Other than the transmission though, the car was running like a clock (2.4L engine). I would suggest getting the manual transmission variant because CVTs are not too reliable compared to your normal automatic transmission. They always end up having problems sooner than you think.

If you really want a Mitsubishi, get a Evolution version with manual transmission. Otherwise, you will regret With automatic transmission.
