I'm looking to buy a high top cargo van and want to find the most reliable one. I'd like to buy new, and after doing some research I'd have to rule out a Sprinter due to price. That would leave my choice of a Transit, Promaster, or NV unless there is something else out there I haven't located. Which would be the best to buy?

I'd probably go Transit if the Sprinter is out.
Out of the ones you listed, I would get the Transit.
Of those three choices, definitely the Transit.
The Promaster is basically a Fiat Ducato.
The NV200 is a Nissan FWD vehicle. 'nough said for that one.
The Transit is alright and should be better than an Italian van.

Get the Transit. Ram Promaster and Nissan NV Series are both underrated trucks. So stay away from those two.
I want to give some insight on the Ram Promaster. Now that is just a Fiat van. We borrowed a friends one on a trip to Europe. The doors wouldn't work electrical stuff were breaking and it was only a couple years old. Stay away!
The Nissan NV is a Nissan. They are alright for a while but the quality isn't the best.
The Ford Transit is a decent van.
