Scotty, I just bought a 1997 Ford F150 about 2 months ago. Just the other day it overheated. I put in coolant, water, turned on the heater but it would not get cooler. Finally I checked the oil and it was maybe 1/2 a quart down so I added 1 quart and the engine got instantly cool. I then bought a OBD2 reader to find out why my check engine light was on the codes I got were p0301 and p1299. What does this mean and how much would it cost to get it fixed?
