My air conditioning is not turning on when i push the ac button on my center console of my 2013 dodge avenger i recharged it but cant get the button to turn on the system

Do yourself a favor and go to an A/C pro. The switch may be bad or you may have too much or too little refrigerant. In any case, have a pro check it out.

If you have not done a proper diagnosis with a full manifold gauge set and recharged with the proper amount of refrigerant by weight after evacuating the system, there really is no way to tell what's going on in there. I hope you did not use refrigerant laced with sealer because that can cause more damage, and if you do need to take it to a shop they won't want to work on a contaminated AC system.
