My car is lunging at red lights.

Hello. I my name is Nichole. I drive a 2013 equinox.  132120 miles on it.  I just recently got it from a rather shady dealership who said everything was good to go. I took it to be looked at and there were 15 codes showing. After changing spark plugs, ignition coils, solenoids, and the engine air filter I’m showing 9 codes. 3 codes that repeat 3x each. P2432, p2437 and p0420. When I stop at red lights it feels odd and then starts to lunge. I put a bottle of cataclean yesterday hoping that would help. I haven’t hit 100 miles yet, but I came across your videos mentioning I could write you and figured that was the best bet!! Thank you so much for your time and any advice you may have for me!

Are there things I can do my self to try to fix the problems or do I need to bring it somewhere?

That will depend on what the actual cause of the problem is and how handy you are with tools. There are potential causes and troubleshooting steps listed in the links provided for the codes. If you do an internet search you will also find videos like these which may help:

Buying from a dealer with a known bad reputation is not a good idea. Trusting what such a dealer, or any seller, tells you is even worse.

Why would you buy it with all those codes showing up?

P2432, p2437 and p0420

The P0420 of course is a common code related to catalyst efficiency as detected by the vehicle's computer. (That's not always caused by a bad catalytic converter.)

The others are related to the secondary air injection system, which can cause driveability problems:

Sounds like she got it looked at AFTER buying. Wrong order. Oops. {black}:scared:

That may well be - yikes!
{pear}:surprised:

It’s a very long story as to how I got stuck with this car. I had no choice but to take it. At this point that’s not the problem. I definitely got screwed over, and now I have a car that is scaring me half to death when I drive it. And I drive a lot! For work and my kids.
I just need advice on how to fix it. Are there things I can do my self to try to fix the problems or do I need to bring it somewhere? I’m hopeful it’s a diy kind of thing because I can’t afford to bring it to a mechanic. I’m a single mom at back to school time. Times are rough (for us all I’m sure!) thanks again for any advice y’all!!

P2432, p2437 and p0420

these are all related to the emissions control systems. I don't think these are what's causing your "lunging".

Do not torture your catalytic converter until you've addressed the air injection issue.

I’m showing 9 codes.

Please post the other 6 codes along with definition (which you can look up on obd-codes.com)

Also, please elaborate on "lunging". Is the car moving? The engine surging?
