Hi Scotty,
I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue and it shakes when from the front when I’m on the highway, I checked the suspension and it looks fine, it only shakes when I am going above 45 and slow down or brake. Also when I stop at a light, the engine shakes as if I was to turn it off but then the rpm returns to normal, sometimes when I step on the gas it shakes before going. Do you think it could be something related to the transmission?
@ben-tello
In my opinion it would not be the transmissions Could be a few things. Warn out tires, warn out brake pads rotors or struts. For the engine shake the car could be low on oil witch could cause it to rattle when stopping and not as noticeable when driving. Also is the check engine light on ?
@ben-tello
Tire alignment as well could be a factor
If your car shakes when breaking it usually indicates in warped break rotors.
However as your engine shakes when idling maybe it's an engine mount ?
If the engine is stalling it could be something as simple as clogged air filter or maybe needs a new set of spark plugs.
Clean your MAF and/or Throttle valve.
Check those Easy things first, before trying to find a nonexistent Hard problem.
