Hey Scotty, My dad bought a 1997 Toyota 4 runner new way back in 99, and it’s still running strong today (2021) at 401,000. He wants to give it to me. What should I do ? Is it a Good idea to fix it up. I’d love to make it last longer. (At least to 500,000) Thanks so much for all you do! ❤️🙏🏾-Stephen

It's a great idea to get it and fix it up. These were some of the best, most reliable Toyota ever made. Besides, the price was right.

If you don't want it tell your dad I'll take it. He obviously meticulously did the recommended maintenance on it and it's a "dad car". Never was abused.
Continue to drive it and maintain it the way he did
