Hey Scotty my dad had a 1990 Mitsubishi Galant 310,000 miles automatic original engine and transmission, it was his daily driver. He had bought it for 1000 in 2010 and it only had 100,000 miles. He had always token care of it and drove like a grandpa, he would drive under 20 mph everyday and put 19,000 miles a year. He put 210,000 miles since the purchase. It’s been his car for the past 10 plus years and had minor problems/basic maintenance. One day while he was driving to work it had stopped and it wouldn’t go forward or reverse it would just vibrate/hesitate and the rpms would go less than 500. every time I put pressed down on the accelerator it wouldn’t go above 500 it would just vibrate like mad, could this be a sign of the transmission or a dirty throttle intake. Thanks

Like Scotty said you are having transmission problems.

You have undoubtedly got your moneys worth, so keep on driving it (if you can) until it goes out and then just get rid of it. The worst thing you can do would be to rebuild the transmission when it goes out.
