My power steering has been squeaking and now has a delayed squeak but goes away after warming up. Indicator it's getting worse? Seizing
I have a 1991 Toyota Celica St Coupe super red. I've been doing all my own car work for all three of my cars Toyota Corolla Toyota Yaris Toyota Celica. I'm worried if the steering goes out on the Celica the parts will be a nightmare to get as I had to create and weld my own front suspension struts. McAlester Oklahoma only Celica in my Town.
Check your ball joints
@imperator check ya balls 🤣
@imperator the squeaking is in rhythm with the engines acceleration .My balls are fine. I've already changed out the fluid drove it change it out again drove it it's now on the red side then black color. It's only cold start when it does it
Your steering rack may have "morning sickness" caused by deteriorated seals (very common on old cars), but that typically would make a groaning sound rather than squeaking.
It's unlikely the steering would seize up completely but you may lose power assist.
My balls are fine.
I didn't type "check ya balls"
the squeaking is in rhythm with the engines acceleration
the vehicle rocks forward and back on acceleration, so maybe it's the suspension.
Power steering would squeak turning left and right.
Other possibilities could be engine/tranny mounts or serpentine belt.
