I have a 1990 Chevrolet 454 ss pick up truck with 79k miles. When I was driving and was coming close to a stop sign I let go of the gas to press on the break and noticed it accelerated on its own and after that every time I pressed on the gas noticed it got warm inside the truck but would go back to regular temperature when I stopped I also notice sometimes it shakes a little when I go at a higher speed, I would like to know if you might have an idea of what the problem might be? Thank you
Check for any recalls on your truck model. Perhaps others have experienced the same issue.
For accelerating issue, clean the throttle body. For the shaking issue, check your tires first. Make sure they are worn evenly and also they are balanced.
