I have 97 Ford Explorer sport with a 4.0 L with an automatic it has 147 500 miles and original owner. This SUV has been well-maintained throughout the years. My issue is while I was driving the SUV stalled. I pulled over and tried to restart it. It would start but run rough RPMs for about 200 and stalled again I weighed it a few minutes and tried again. Same thing I felt like I was out of fuel but I had a full tank so I try it couple more times. No luck call tow truck drop it off on Sunday they didn’t look at it till Tuesday, they called me saying the SUV started. Normally ran normally. There was no engine light on and no codes the last time this happened it was over a year ago same exactly thing.please HELP

Well if you don't have any codes then generally that means the fuel pump is going out cuz the computer doesn't know what fuel pressure is. The only other thing that really can do that is a bad main computer which won't trip codes cuz when it's bad it's not going to tell you it's bad most of the time
