My new job will require me to drive all over Southern California to different job sites. I need a reliable used truck that won’t get stuck in the mud.
What used 4x4 truck so you recommend ?
If you want a really serious work truck, I suggest you get an older Ford F-250 4x4 with the 7.3L Powerstroke V8 - these engines are legendary and can run forever. My neighbor has one of these and it had 350K miles last time I talked to him. You can also easily fit big tires on these for the mud.
If you want something lighter duty, consider a Ford F-150 V8 4WD or a Toyota Tundra 4WD. Avoid the 5.4L Triton V8s on the F-150 because they were absolute garbage. Other than that, both of these are solid light-duty options and won't get stuck.
Tacoma.
Any more constraints? Otherwise, I’d personally go for the Toyota Tundra first and Toyota Tacoma 2nd.
