Hello Scotty , been watching you before you left Texas. I have 2019 camry and the engine lost oil pressure and something internal gave way and I suppose blew the pistons or valves, bomb no power. I really liked the 3.5 V6, so I changed the oil relatively often at or before 3k. Have 60,075 miles on it now and looking for new rebuilt engine. Want to know what I did wrong, tried to make it last seemed to have a negative effect on this car. Thank you Nelson Fragiao, conroe, texas
You would have to do a post-mortem teardown of the engine to find out what happened. Could have been sudden failure of the oil pump due to a manufacturing defect. Or, maybe the oil filter came apart internally and plugged up the oil passages with debris. (I had that happen on an engine once but caught it at idle before any damage was done.)
Unless the problem was due to failure to tighten the oil drain plug or oil filter causing all the oil to leak out I very much doubt it's anything that you did.
