Hi Skotty, I met you at the O'Reilly the other day and got a pic with you thanks! So I have a 2015 Honda Civic. It has almost a 100k on it and I noticed a low pitched rumbling sound when driving at low speeds. The sound increases when I speed up and when I'm coming to a stop it seems to wind down. I can't hear it at all when Idol. So I took it to the Jenkins and Wynn Honda in Clarksville and the mechanic told me it was the side engine mount. I didn't want to pay the high amount they offered so I changed it myself with an after market mount. The new mount seemed much stiffer then the oem one I replaced and now the engine is super loud inside the car. I can't tell if this really fixed the problem or not and I'm wondering if the stiffer mount could cause damage to the car in any way. I don't really mind the sound and I read it could even improve engine performance having a stiffer mount. Do you think it could hurt the vehicle? Could it be a different problem that caused the original sound and now I'm just ignoring it? I thought about having you look at it for me since your in the area.
