New motor oil 0w-16

Hello Scott my question on the new motor oil 0w-16 my car is 2014 but use 10w-40 can I use this new fuel economy motor oil or not recommended?

I would HIGHLY recommend you use the oil that your car’s owner manual says to use.

0-16 is much, much thinner than 10-40. They are WILDLY incompatible.

0w-16 oil is not even near the viscosity of 10w-40. If your manual calls for using 10w-40, then DO NOT use 0w-16 because it is too light.

Definitely DO NOT switch to a zero weight oil. You'll damage the motor running oil that thin in a car that doesn't call for it.
