Without knowing more information on exactly what is needed, besides seating for 7, I would go with A Sequoia.

They guzzle gas, but they make up for it in comfort, and reliability.

The honda pilot is an overall good vehicle. Here is a what I found by a quick search of owner reviews of the 2020 version of both vehicles.

Sequoia- Outdated features were the biggest complaint, no fancy infotainment system or anything. No mechanic issues, just boring reliable transportation

Pilot- Complaints about electrical system and infotainment system and speakers crackling and breaking. I mean LOTS of complaints, even some trying to do the lemon law on how bad it is.

I just randomly picked 2020 to look at, maybe other years were much better for the Pilot.

Looking at a couple other years, the sequoia is more reliable, and the pilot is fancier, but has more issues.
