Hi I have a new power steering pump and the steering still feels stiff. They said that its normal because the pressure needs to vuild for a week and the air is still present. Is it true? Honda civic 8th gen
Did you use a brand new pump or was it rebuilt/remanufactured?
I have never experienced this but was curious after reading your question. I did find others saying the same as your mechanic. I guess give it a week and see...
The steering is now a lot better. A little problem when reversing. As i step on the brake and reverse, the steering feels a little stiff

Hi! Ive checked below and there is a droplet on the bottom of the pump. The reservoir is still at the max level and there’s no change in the fluid level. Should I be alarmed? Its just been a week since the pump seals were repaired.
