Nissan Altima Deal or No Deal?

Hey Scotty! I love your YouTube channel and watch all the time. My mom recently got a 2010 Nissan Altima 4 cylinder automatic  with 45,000 miles on it for $4,000. It was owned by one old man who got it serviced religiously. The receipts for it were in the glovebox.  After I detailed it for her it looks new. It sat up in his garage for a year or so after he passed away. I had her run nearly all of that gas out and put new gas in and change the oil. It runs great so far. Any common issues with that year model we should look out for?

Nissan's Jatco CVTs are prone to catastrophic failure.

Watch out for the CVT transmission. Those Jatco transmissions are one of the worst transmissions ever. You said that everything was serviced and taken care so baby the transmission. I would do a transmission fluid change now before it gets worse.

Watch out for the CVT transmissions on those 2.5 4 cylinder models as they are most prone to failure compared to the 3.5 V6 Altimas. It is low mileage and you are paying $4k so it might be an OK buy, but as they get very high mileage, beware of potential issues surrounding blown head gasket or oil consumption caused by the failure of the catalytic converter, but if you baby it and take good care of it, it might not have those problems but still be on the lookout for those as it was an issue for 3rd and 4th gen Altimas with the 4 cylinder engines.
