Hey scotty I was just wondering if a 1991 nissan d21 hardbody would be a good first car. It is a 5 speed manual and has the k24e engine. It has 280,000 miles and it starts and runs very good. It was never messed with and was just owned by some farm guy. He wants 2000 for it do you think its a good car for my son?

This doesn't sound like a great first car to be honest. Check out Autotempest.com for good deals on used cars. 91 is WAY too old. Try something newer and look for a Honda or Toyota they're great first cars

You say the car has a k24, im assuming thats the honda engine. I would'nt advise buying a car that has a swapped engine.

I'm assuming he meant to say the KA24E engine.

Yep that's right, the car is pretty old, you want something that's going to be dependable and wont suprise you with a problem every day.

Those are pretty strong trucks, especially with a manual trans but 2K is WAY overpriced.

I'd say 1000 TOPS, if it's in excellent condition.
