Hey Scotty,

I was working on my clutch which was slipping and I noticed the clutch cover diaphragm springs are unusually bent outward from the middle and some scuffing on the outer lip of the thrust bearing, the clutch disk doesn't seem worn out and there was no burning smell. Will adjusting the clutch pedal to not push the bearing too deep help? I am afraid the diaphragm on my new clutch kit might get damaged prematurely as well.

Well you only adjust the clutch so that there's about a quarter of an inch of play with nothing and then it's tight other than that some clutches just wear out oddly on those little things
