My wife runs a successful interior design/home organization business. We've outgrown the Odysseys & 4runner we use for work and are in need of a legitimate cargo van. I've rented almost every kind of van over the past year but really liked the Nissan NV2500 V6. I do all of the preventive maintenance on our cars & I liked all of the room under the hood, everything seemed very accessible & I keep vehicles forever. The power of the V6 seemed sufficient for what we do, we haul more bulky items, not heavy (furniture). Anyway, is the Nissan 4.0 V6 a decent engine? Gas mileage doesn't matter considering 95% of our work is in the city (city, why I'm not just getting a cargo trailer, parking sucks).
The 4.0 is an awesome engine and the trans has extremely minimal concerns. Those vans have held up very well and I’ve seen them with well over 100k miles and still running strong. As long as you maintain it they are very reliable vans
