Hi Scotty
My son wants to buy a new/used Nissan sv200 small cargo van to haul his work stuff around. I think Nissan stopped building them this past summer. Regardless, I don't agree w his choice and will defer to your expertise. Will you please recommend three alternatives to--what I believe to be--the inferior Nissan?

I would not buy an NV200 since their powertrains are junk with the 4 cylinder (ok engine) and CVT (terrible), the larger NVs with the 5.6 V8 are pretty reliable since they are RWD-based but they cost more and they are gas hogs. I would probably look into the Ford Transit Connect or regular vans or maybe a Mercedes Sprinter van if he doesn't mind the larger size.
