Hi Scotty - been watching u since you were on TV in houston- so what i have is a 2010 2500 Silverado - 126,000 miles - at 112,000 miles , i started getting a "Service air bags " warning (intermittent) but no code on the computer - Dealer service person told me not to worry unless there is a detectable code .
Now at 126,000 miles im getting three warning lites - check trailer towing - ABS - stablil-Track warning - again , No codes on the computer-
the dealership wants $1100.00 to change spark plugs and wires- and to check out the warning notices -
is this something programed in the truck to get me in the service bay or is there a legit problem - dont want to get ripped off,

It needs a better diagnostic scanner. Stop going to the scumbag dealer.

Inexpensive consumer-grade scanners are of course not able to read manufacturer-specific codes for onboard systems such as air bags, stability control, ABS, etc. A dealer-level scan tool is required for that and for testing.

If you want to significantly lower your chances of being ripped off take your vehicle to a good independent shop. Stay away from dealers, as well as chains such as Pep Boys, Firestone, Midas, etc.
