2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 217k miles
I got a small cracking noise when turning at very slow speed.
*Getting off gas station, and turn, slowly turn and crank crank.* Like 2 times

With that mileage it could be a lot of things.
I'd pull off the tire on the side making noise and check the tie rods, wheel hub, etc. Could even be a bearing going bad.
Hard to say as many things cause noises. Some minor, some major.
